Whether presented to a group of grade three students or a group of legal professionals, the overwhelming response is positive.
The Popcorn Activity is included with Lesson 1 as this activity helps bring the lesson concepts together in a tangible way. Through this activity, students understand the rate at which Greenhouse gasses are accumulating in the atmosphere at current emission rates. The experiment also illustrates which countries produce the highest emissions per capita as well as the emissions captured each year by forest, land and oceans.
You can create your own popcorn kit, or borrow one from PEEL with a $50 for one week (Shipping is not included in the fee and is covered by the teacher or school). Once arrangements are made, an invoice will be sent to your school for payment of this fee.
