Title: What the ______ is Climate Change?

The workshop will include a presentation of Climate 101  (Lesson Plan 1), including the popcorn activity, and instructional tips for leading this lesson plan with your students. In addition, you will also receive a brief overview of PEEL resources, including related curriculum outcomes and learner competencies. Planning time will be provided for you to consider how you can best incorporate climate change education into your classroom or educational program. 

Beverages and snacks will be provided. 
All participants will be entered into a draw to win a LEGO wind turbine. A perfect addition to any classroom!  
As well, all participating schools are eligible for the PEELPrize. The PEEL prize will be awarded to the schools with the top three attendance at PEEL workshops happening before the end of February 2019. Prizes of $1500, $1000, and $500 will be awarded. Please invite your fellow teachers to register for this event, or plan to attend an upcoming teacher convention presentation at the Calgary City Teacher’s Convention or Palliser District Teacher Convention.
